Samuel Pietsch | Editor
Sam Pietsch shot his first film at age 5 and continued his exploration of
the medium in film school where he was the only non-fiction major of his
graduating class. His deep interest in cutting edge social non-fiction led
him to create three world wide distributed lifestyle/sport films. In 1998
he entered the Hollywood studio system and as an editor and camera operator
worked with Miramax, Universal, Disney, MGM, New line Cinema, Sony, and
Warner Brothers. He has shot and edited many top rated and award-winning
films, documentaries, shorts, and television shows including "Austin Powers 3"
(top 50 all-time grossing), and "Survivor" (Emmy winning and most watched
summer series in TV history). He has worked with Gary Marshal (creator of
Happy Days/Pretty Woman), David Wiesman (Oscars/Sundance awarded producer)
and Nelly Gallan (first female president of a network). His independent
mindset combined with six years of major studio experience provides a
balance of stark naked realism and wide commercial appeal.
