Aleesa
has worked on 8 films, webisodes and trailers as editor, assistant editor or
post production assistant. While editing is her main focus, she has also
directed 5 short films outside of film school projects.
After
beginning film training at NYU, Aleesa spent a summer at the American
Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. From there she moved to Los
Angeles to root herself in the film community and completed numerous classes at
UCLA in Directing, Cinematography, Producing, and Screenwriting. During
this time she also attended the prestigious 8 week Acting Shakespeare Program
at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. Eventually these film
classes led to editing as a career choice. She then further trained in
Editing, Sound Mixing, and DVD Authoring at Video Symphony TV & Film School
in Burbank.
Currently
she is working as an Assistant Editor for Larry Jordan, the Final Cut Pro guru
(www.larryjordan.biz and www.digitalproductionbuzz.com)
and taking advanced Avid effects courses at Video Symphony TV & Film
School. Earlier in her career she acted in 11 short films, 3 TV shows, and
17 plays, which gave her valuable experience that informs her directing and
editing. More info at www.aleesaadams.com
